Jacquin
Jacquin Jacquin was born in Paris on January 28th, 1943. As early as 1960 he started to learn drawing at the Academy of Montmartre under the direction of Jean Monneret as well as the Academy of La Grande Chaumière. He then worked under the supervision of the sculptor Van The for two years.

After some years of wandering around and solitude he decided to transform two small rooms into an art workshop, and then devoted himself entirely to painting from 1973. This was followed by participation in big national French group exhibitions: Salon des indépendants, au Salon des Iindépendants as well as Salon d’Automne for many years. In 1980 he returned to the Borel Gallery and exhibited in Vichy, Deauville, Cannes, and La Rochelle.
In 1985 he received the Silver Medal of the Town of Paris and then became a member of the painters of ‘ Clos de Montmartre’ before taking part in the grand national exhibition of “Living Art” as well as an artistic event organized by the UNICEF. Jacquin is today one of the best known painters on Place du Tertre.
He has exhibited in numerous countries in Europe and North Africa -Belgium, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Norway, Morocco, Tunisia..., as well as in the United States (New York, Dallas...), and in Japan (exhibition in Tokyo of the new Parisian school).
