K.C. Lai

Inspired by the beauty and nature of the remote villages in China were he spent his youth, K.C. Lai dreamt of becoming an artist. After completing a diploma in Fine Arts at the School of Fine Arts Hong Kong, he traveled to Paris to further his studies at the Faculty of Arts Plastiques of the University of Paris. He further mastered his skills in various styles of painting at the prestigious Ecole Nationale Superieure Beaux-art de Paris. Surrounded by the ambiance and romance of Parisian streets, K.C. Lai’s paintings are a reflection of his love for urban architecture. His artistic interpretation of Parisian storefronts are rendered with a rich color palette and sophisticated use of light and texture. Since beginning his career in 1981, his pieces have been highly prized by collectors around the world and are drawing attention internationally as he continues to explore day-to-day life in Paris. |
