About us
| The Collectif des Artistes Montmartrois (CAM) is an association of more than 100 artists. CAM was created by the painters of Montmartre in March of 1983. The main objectives of the association are to promote art on the 'street', to represent the artists on the hill, to represent and defend their profession with the administrative authority and to ease the practice of their profession. The association also organises exhibitions and various artistic shows. CAM will introduce you to Montmartre, help you get to know the artists, and help you to get in touch with them should you want to commission something in particular for example. Other notable accomplishments include the spiral staircase in the Paris Metro station Abbesses decorated in 1988 with a "collective fresco" as well as a large number of exhibitions and animations held in countries such as France, Belgium and Italy amongst others. The CAM organises annual exhibitions in the hall next to the historic church of St Pierre of Montmartre where it is transformed into a large gallery for the duration of the exhibition. View pictures from past exhibitions held in Montmartre. We hope you will enjoy your visit to our virtual exhibition. Dorothée Dabrou |
